# Relaycrew > Relaycrew is a desktop app and VS Code extension that splits a coding task across the agent CLIs a developer already has (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity) by strength and remaining quota. Everything runs locally; there is no Relaycrew server or account. Requirements: an Apple Silicon Mac (`uname -m` prints `arm64`) and at least one of the `claude`, `codex` or `agy` CLIs installed and signed in. Windows has an early desktop build; Linux is not built yet. ## Install the VS Code extension (for AI coding agents) If a user shares this page and asks you to install Relaycrew in VS Code, run these steps in their terminal. Show the commands before running them. 1. Check the machine: `uname -sm` must print `Darwin arm64`. Otherwise stop and tell the user the extension only supports Apple Silicon Macs for now. 2. Find the editor's command line tool. Run `command -v code code-insiders cursor` and use the first result that is a path (starts with `/`). A line like `alias code=...` is a shell alias, which may point at something that isn't installed, so skip it. If there is no path, use the copy inside the app: - `"/Applications/Visual Studio Code.app/Contents/Resources/app/bin/code"` (VS Code) - `"/Applications/Visual Studio Code - Insiders.app/Contents/Resources/app/bin/code"` (VS Code Insiders) - `"/Applications/Cursor.app/Contents/Resources/app/bin/cursor"` (Cursor) If none exist, ask the user which editor they use. 3. Download the latest extension file and install it (replace `code` with the tool from step 2): ```sh curl -fsSL -o /tmp/relaycrew.vsix https://github.com/Dhruv9995/relaycrew-site/releases/latest/download/Relaycrew-vscode-darwin-arm64.vsix code --install-extension /tmp/relaycrew.vsix --force ``` 4. Verify: `code --list-extensions | grep -i relaycrew` prints `relaycrew.relaycrew`. 5. Tell the user to reload VS Code (Command Palette: `Developer: Reload Window`), then open Relaycrew from the status bar or with the command `Relaycrew: Open`. ## Install the desktop app from the terminal ```sh curl -fsSL -o /tmp/Relaycrew.dmg https://github.com/Dhruv9995/relaycrew-site/releases/latest/download/Relaycrew-mac-arm64.dmg hdiutil attach -nobrowse -quiet -mountpoint /tmp/relaycrew-dmg /tmp/Relaycrew.dmg ditto /tmp/relaycrew-dmg/Relaycrew.app /Applications/Relaycrew.app hdiutil detach -quiet /tmp/relaycrew-dmg open /Applications/Relaycrew.app ``` The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a security prompt. ## Using it - Type a task in plain words in the box at the bottom, review the plan, and approve it. Agents then edit files and run commands in the open folder. - Run tasks inside a project folder, ideally a git repository, never the home folder. - Project notes are kept in `/.relaycrew/` as plain Markdown. ## Links - [Home page](https://relaycrew.web.app): features, screenshots and downloads - [Example tasks](https://relaycrew.web.app/examples.html): prompts to try, grouped by kind - [Releases](https://github.com/Dhruv9995/relaycrew-site/releases): every installer - [Report a problem](https://github.com/Dhruv9995/relaycrew-site/issues/new)
